Rev. Sandy Casey-Martus recently moved back to Teton Valley where she began her ministry roots with her ordination to the Episcopal priesthood at St. Francis. She served there as the first Vicar and Director of the Alta Retreat Center from 1994-2005. Beyond Alta, Sandy served as Assistant Dean at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Easton MD and as Rector at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Wimberley TX. Her passion throughout all her ministries has been teaching about the contemplative tradition which is deeply rooted in her own spiritual prayer practice. She has authored several books on Christ Centered Prayer as well as other Christian Contemplative practices. Her children Brian and Ashley are delighted about their mother’s return to the valley and are eager to re-visit her there. When Sandy isn’t preaching or teaching, she may be
found out on the local pickleball/tennis courts or on her bike.
